CALLING ALL CHIANTI CLASSICO LOVERS
Terre di Perseto was one of the original producers we partnered with in 2017 when we started just before Hurricane Harvey hit our city. Many of our clients will recall the powerful 2012 vintage that was simply an outstanding example of what Chianti Classico can be. The most recent vintage of 2015 Albόre Chianti Classico Riserva is reminiscent of the 2012 vintage.
Located in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, the amphitheater-like terrain of the vineyard requires hand cultivation of grapes – aiding in the selection of the best bunches. Young winemakers Nicolo and Daniel have spent the past 10 years in the cellar consistently refining a great Chianti Classico Riserva.
Terre di Perseto’s well-draining limestone soils, rich in round stone, produce an elegant, generous, fragrant Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG wine with an intense bouquet of red berry fruits, spices, vanilla, and hints of smoked wood. Full bodied and fragrant on the palate there is an excellent and pleasant acidity with sumptuous but smooth tannins that lead to a long intense finish.
Albore Riserva is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, from the vineyard's best grape selections. It is aged for 30 months in French oak 500-liter barrels followed by 6 months in the bottle before release.
