He is the wine of Kings! Bright golden yellow color, looks like liquid gold, gorgeous. Reminiscent of acacia honey, jam and candied citrus fruits, sweet, warm, round and refined. After a late harvest, the bunches undergo a further drying on racks in ventilated floors.

Picolit is a rare, exquisite dessert wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia’s Colli Orientali DOCG, crafted from the Picolit grape, one of Italy’s oldest and most prestigious varieties. Its golden hue reveals a bouquet of acacia honey, dried apricot, candied citrus, and white flowers, with a velvety palate balancing sweetness and vibrant acidity.

The grape’s rarity stems from natural floral abortion (millerandage), causing low yields—sometimes just a few precious grapes per vine—making each bottle a labor-intensive treasure. Historically favored by European nobility, Picolit’s scarcity and rich, elegant profile elevate it to a gem of Friulian winemaking.

Only about 400 acres planted.  

It should be served at 8-10 degrees.
